Job Description - Warehouse & Supplies Associate

Job Description



As a Warehouse & Supplies Associate, you will be responsible for supplying, replenishing, and providing clean glassware, solvents and consumables to the laboratories. You will also accurately and efficiently receive, and distribute any incoming items to their corresponding locations, oversee and maintain inventory supplies.

  • Frequently handle chemical compounds including toxic chemicals or those classified as Dangerous Goods and to treat accordingly.
  • Able to lift, push, pull and/or move objects weighing up to 85 pounds.
  • Handle and maneuver heavy weights of 250 kg (with equipment).
  • Occasionally required to wash glassware that has residues of solvents and organic compounds.
  • Infrequent exposure to unpleasant odours within the work environment.
  • The employee may at times be exposed to inclement weather.
  • Must be available to work for 8 hours as assigned between 6 AM to 6 PM

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Highly organized and ability to work in a fast-paced working environment.
  • Team player able to contribute to a positive work environment.
  • Understands and recognizes the roles, duties and responsibilities that are assigned.
  • Customer focused with good interpersonal skills.
  • Task oriented self-starter that takes initiative to get things done.
  • Completed Criminal Background Check.
