Accountant - Entry Level

Description Our client in Calgary is seeking a motivated Entry Level Accountant to join their finance team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with data entry, along with a strong aptitude for numbers and attention to detail. This role will primarily focus on collections and reconciliations, providing a fantastic opportunity for growth and development in the field of accounting. Responsibilities

• Perform collections activities, including contacting clients for outstanding payments and resolving any billing discrepancies.
• Conduct account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
• Assist with month-end close processes, including journal entries and financial statement preparation.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve any accounting-related issues or inquiries.
• Maintain organized and accurate documentation of financial transactions and records.
• Support ad-hoc projects and tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Previous experience with Open Invoice preferred.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
• Quick learner with a proactive attitude and willingness to take on new challenges.
• Available to start immediately.
