ASSISTANT BRANCH MANAGER – Calgary, AB
$70K Base Salary plus quarterly bonuses and comprehensive benefits Our client is a reputable distributor of fasteners, tools, safety products, and more, serving a wide range of industries including building construction, industrial, oil & gas, agriculture, marine, manufacturing, and fabrication. Join a team that values long-term employees and provides unparalleled support. You will assist managing a busy location with 35+ employees ensuring the branch runs smoothly. Your effective communication and problem-solving skills will ensure top-notch customer service on the order desk, walk in traffic, and working closely with the distribution team.
Responsibilities: - Support branch activities to ensure smooth operations of order desk, walk-in customers and work closely with distribution of products to ensure high standards are met
- Identify and improve processes for higher customer and employee job satisfaction
- Promote relationships between outside sales, inside sales and distribution teams
- Work with branch manager to identify needs for continued branch success re: staffing, products, technology, marketing etc.
- Work with other branches to support company goals and objectives
Requirements: - Minimum 3+ years leadership in building materials, construction industry or distribution environments
- Experience working within a performance driven culture that strives to exceed customer expectations
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative leadership style
- Excels at operating in a fast paced, community environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work with different personalities and promote positive company culture
- Vehicle, clean driving record
