Job Description - Brand Designer

Now is your time to become a game changer and join the workforce that will plan and deliver this extraordinary and unforgettable experience.  Sitting within the Commercial Operations Department, Brand (along with Host City Rights Management, Commercial Rights Delivery, Partnerships integration, Licensing and Retail, Ticketing and Hospitality, and FIFA Fan Festival) aims to deliver the most engaging, innovative, and accessible World Cup experience for all athletes, fans, partners, and the community.    

The Brand Designer at FWC26 CAN is responsible for creating world class design work across the Tournament, FWC26 CAN and Host Cities. The role will work in close collaboration with those responsible for Partnership Integration, Commercial Rights Delivery, Host City Rights Management, Licensing & Retail, and the FIFA Fan Festival for the FIFA World Cup 2026™ that for the first time ever, is hosting 48 teams and 1,200+ players across 3 countries and 16 venues.  The role will work within the Commercial Operations team in Canada as well as the Brand team in Mexico and the USA, working independently or aside agency creatives, and will be responsible for creating the best-in-class design solutions for the FWC26.  

THE POSITION

The main responsibilities and oversights of the Brand Designer for FWC26 CAN will include:   

  • Working with the Head of Brand & Marketing, as well as the MEX and USA design team to push ideation into exciting design assets. 
  • Creation of fresh design solutions for all briefs, whilst being respectful of our brand guides and Tone Of Voice (TOV). 
  • Providing world class, effective design solutions across all media. 
  • Supporting the day to day needs of the FWC26 Brand Team, FWC26 CAN and wider FWC26 project team. 
  • Guiding/overseeing production, shoots, campaigns, and post-production, as required. 
  • Building presentations and arguments to sell the work. 
  • Providing clear and effective communication to all parties. 
  • Inspiring and engaging other creatives within the FIFA26 and FIFA headquarters teams.

Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or similar higher education 


Work Experience

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in a similar role 
  • Experience in creating work of outstanding design standards, for brand, advertising and TTL campaigns 
  • Strong client management skills and agency background advantageous 
  • Digital savvy with experience in social & digital marketing strategies 
  • Demonstrated excellent design skills – both conceptual and executional 
  • Brand Development experience 
  • Experience in entertainment, motion and sport advantageous 
  • International or experience working in organizations with international offices/staff 
  • Mid-level management experience 


Languages

  • Fluent in English. French and/or Spanish proficiency is a plus 


Technology

  • Proficient in Creative Studios, Production, MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio & Project), Keynote and planning software and online collaboration tools 
  • Creative Assets – Aware of all current marketing software and asset formats from motion to statics.
