Job Description - Business Development Associate

A natural people person, our associate will work closely with the Director of Sales to find new business, improve our visibility in the marketplace and key account management support. This position is a new role at Del’s Pastry and will require an entrepreneurial attitude, exceptional interpersonal skills, and understanding of the brand. We offer a hybrid work model for successful candidates. General Duties And Responsibilities
  • Attracting, seeking, prospecting, qualifying, soliciting, and booking new business.
  • Present new ideas to Director of Sales for ongoing revenue streams.
  • Active participant in variety of trade shows, presentations, and on-site store visits.
  • Cold-call lead lists and generate new business.
  • Stay up to date on food trends, indulgence items and other marketable ideas for increased presence in the market.
  • Key account management.
  • CRM management.
  • Create campaigns and measure performance for improvements.
  • Learn negotiation strategies and support price list updates.
  • Support organization in various cross functional projects (taste testing's, purchase orders, environmental impact, customer feedback).
  • Manage online presence through social channels and updating our website.
  • Create newsletters to send out to customers for communication updates.
  • Manage company website and google reviews/comments.
  • Manage customer inbox.
  • Ensure food safety remains high priority and is an ambassador for a food-safe culture.
  • Other duties as required.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience.
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in sales preferably within a food processing manufacturing environment.
  • Must be flexible to travel and must have valid passport and VISA to USA.
  • KAM (Key Account Manager) experience is a strong asset.
  • CPG knowledge is preferred.
  • Must be organized and entrepreneurial.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Proficient in Microsoft, Google Docs, Sharepoint.
  • Attention to detail and quick learner.
  • Creativity focused and up to date on various online food trends.
  • Able to implement new ideas from conception into reality.
