We are looking for a passionate, genuine and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Community Fundraising Coordinator.

The Movement Centre of Manitoba is a dedicated charitable organization committed to providing Conductive Education to help individuals with neuromotor conditions increase their mobility, confidence and independence in activities of daily living. Our goal is to keep fees affordable for families, and we rely on the generous support of our community to achieve this. We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Community Fundraising Coordinator to join our team and help us make a greater impact.
Job Summary:
The Community Fundraising Coordinator will play a vital role in developing and executing community-based fundraising initiatives. This position will be responsible for engaging with local communities, planning and coordinating fundraising events, managing volunteer teams, and building lasting relationships with donors and sponsors.
Key Responsibilities:
Fundraising and Donor Relations: Collaborate with the Executive Director to create and implement effective community fundraising strategies. • Develop and implement 2 annual solicitation campaigns, with a blend of electronic and mail communication. • Establish and maintain accurate details in the donor database. • Establish and maintain regular communication with current and prospective donors. • Coordinate volunteers • Communicate Centre donation needs with the general public. • Monitor the annual Fundraising budget to ensure cost-effectiveness and maximization of funds raised.
Event Planning and Execution : Organize, coordinate, and oversee Movement Centre hosted events including the two annual major events: the Perogy Run, an all-abilities wheel/walk/run held at the end of every June; and the longstanding golf tournament held in the fall. There are approximately two to three other community events held throughout the year, as well as about 5-10 third party fundraising events you will be responsible to help and represent the Movement Centre.
External Communications & Promotion : • Oversee Centre's Communications Plan and Annual Events Calendar. • Ensure all communications reflect the Centre's mission, vision and values. • Ensure visual brand consistency in all external materials, such as the posters and social media posts. • Oversee a rebuild of the Centre's website and maintain thereafter. • Oversee the Centre's social media platforms: Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and LinkedIn. • Tell stories through text, video, and photography. • Foster positive relationships with the broader community • Lead the writing, design and distribution of a Community Annual Report (brand new to the organization). • Assist with planning of AGM.
Management & Administration : Maintain photo database. • Produce reports as required by the Board of Directors and Executive Director. • Manage Grant applications and follow up reporting • Collaborate with the team on projects as needed. • Lead event committee meetings as required.
