DC Operations Manager


Our client is a well-established, prominent market leader in the building materials sector with a history of providing superior products and service to its customers. They have asked Sean Baker of MacDonald Search Group to help them recruit for a DC Operations Manager for their Winnipeg location. The right person will be accountable for all aspects of daily operations, customer service and KPI attainment.



In this role you will:

• Manage all aspects of facility operations including scheduling, preventative maintenance, quality assurance and continuous improvement planning.
• Establish and maintain a positive relationship with vendors, supplier’s and the team of direct reports while leading, developing and motivating
• Take a leadership position in cost control, inventory management and the development, implementation and maintenance of the EH&S management system
• Be responsible for meeting goals and objectives set by senior management
• Ensure all proper reporting for corporate policies and procedures are done in a timely manner

We are looking for an accomplished warehouse or distribution manager with strong relationship skills familiar with coaching, leading and managing a high functioning and talented team.





Specifically, the successful Candidate will:

• minimum 5 years of successful management or 10 plus years of supervisor experience
• work experience from a medium velocity, distribution center or industrial branch warehouse
• a self-motivated and results-driven leader with an entrepreneurial spirit,
• a credible, open and consultative management style
• excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• must have prior experience with financials such as P&L, budgeting etc.
