The Digital Marketing Specialist will oversee the transformation of Husky’s digital properties with a goal to grow awareness and demand, drive traffic, lead acquisition, brand and loyalty.
Reporting to the Global Manager, Marketing & Communications, you will be the ‘go-to’ team player for all marketing websites and digital touchpoints – you’ll help refresh, update and renovate all existing website platforms, and perform content updates to support campaign deployments. You have the technical expertise that will support our company's goal of delivering an optimized, high-performing digital experience for our customers, partners and prospective team members. You have expertise in managing and maintaining websites within a variety of CMS platforms. You have meticulous attention to detail, and you have a keen eye for UX & UI that will drive conversions to help achieve our digital marketing goals.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the Husky.co digital properties redesign project, including content planning, curation and migration, and vendor management.
- Analyze website traffic, user engagement metrics and behavior analytics to determine new content opportunities and improvements.
- Oversee how the website content lives, how it's structured, and how it compels prospects and customers to engage with Husky.
- Manage content organization through classification and tagging in CMS and Content Experience Software.
- Enforce web standards and ensure content is always accurate and up-to-date.
- Conduct audits to identify gaps and redundancies in site content.
- Obtain and follow directives from the Digital Solutions Team and collaborate to optimize SEO and exploit technical opportunities.
- Set up and implement all website link and engagement tracking using Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics.
- Assist internal teams in developing and integrating content marketing strategies and creating effective landing pages.
- Conduct keyword research and analyze competitive landscape.
- Oversee regular maintenance of web properties, including backups, plugin updates, site speed improvements, host uptime monitoring.
- Proactively prevent errors and resolve reported issues.
- Manage and optimize landing pages, website calls-to-action (CTAs), and lead-generating forms.
- A/B test and continually measure the performance of CTAs.
- Collaborate with marketing team members responsible for content generation in order to optimize campaign goals.
- Stay abreast of digital marketing trends and best practices as well as the latest SEO/SEM techniques; present recommendations and/or oversee implementation of new strategies to drive online traffic to the company website and optimize marketing spend and performance.
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience working within a CMS (Content Management System), custom or mainstream, both updating content and creating components.
- Web-savvy with a solid understanding of Search Engine Optimization (SEO), HTML, CSS, and other languages.
- Experienced with SEO and content optimization practices.
- Strong understanding of UX/UI design, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Search Console, and a variety of marketing analytical tools.
- Experience with A/B and multivariate experiments.
- Experience in optimizing landing pages and user funnels.
- Knowledge of ranking factors and search engine algorithms.
- Knowledgeable and experienced with (AODA) related to the Web (WCAG 2.0).
- Strong reporting, data analytics and communication skills with ability to take data and make it digestible to external and internal partners.
- Post-secondary education in Digital Marketing, Communications or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years' experience managing digital properties.
- Highly organized, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
- Detail oriented, with an ability to spot patterns, gaps and repetitions in web content.
- Able to research, collate and summarize information from different sources.
- Able to communicate confidently and clearly with a variety of stakeholders.
