Job Description - Equipment Manager

As a family owned business the members of the Seaboard Transport Group work together as a unit filled with transportation enthusiasts on the road, on the ground and in the office. Join us today as we are currently hiring an Equipment Manager based in Moncton, NB.

 

Core Job Functions:

  • To build and maintain ongoing relationships with customers across the country for the Disposal of used Heavy Equipment consisting of various equipment:
    • Trucks consisting of Class 8 units
    • Trailers: Dry Vans, Reefers, Petroleum Tankers, etc.
    • Forklifts and other warehousing equipment
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment disposal and ensuring internal systems are up to date for recording of same
  • Develop new business opportunities through existing and new accounts
  • Completing cold calls to identify new opportunities and building a customer base
  • Actively engaging in advertising and marketing activities to reach new customers
  • Connecting with local auction houses and participating in local shows
  • Negotiate selling prices with new and existing customers
  • Working with internal departments regarding fleet disposal lists
  • Preparing equipment for sale
  • Other duties as required

Job Requirements:

  • 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Sales background an asset
  • Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Proven ability to work productively and professionally with clients
  • Strong communication skills; verbal and written
  • Strong organization skills
  • Willing to travel as required
  • Have a well-defined sense of negotiation skills and understanding of customer relations
