Your opportunity: The Office of Communications & Public Affairs at Faculty of Arts & Science (A&S) at the University of Toronto facilitates numerous activities, events and programs on behalf of the Office of the Dean and other academic units within A&S. These events support reputation building and pride of place by highlighting and showcasing the strengths and achievements of our faculty, students, and staff to our various target audiences. Under the general supervision of the Director, Stakeholder Communications & Marketing, the incumbent is responsible for the development, execution, and evaluation of events for the Dean’s Office and other academic units in the Faculty of Arts & Science. They will provide strategic advice and support to stakeholders and partners on events from conception through execution, from analyzing their needs and making recommendations on event ideas and concepts to developing marketing and communications plans to best support event promotion and activities. In addition, they will support event management, including, but not limited to, determining logistical requirements such as space, on-site supervision and event direction, and managing and making recommendations for technology for hybrid events using various online tools such as zoom, teams. Pay Scale Group & Hiring Zone:
USW Pay Band 12 -- $78,308 with an annual step progression to a maximum of $100,144. Pay scale and job class assignment is subject to determination pursuant to the Job Evaluation/Pay Equity Maintenance Protocol.
