Purpose
Contributes to the overall success of the Investment & Advisory Solutions ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team's business strategies and objectives. The Inside Investment Consultant works closely with the Director, Business Development and Senior Investment Consultants to generate sales and develop new business along with servicing and managing existing clients on all fee based and managed programs . The Inside Investment Consultant has responsibility for helping to growng fee based and managed asset AUM, establishing, developing and retaining account relationships within the ScotiaMcLeod (SM) and Private Investment Counsel (PIC) sales channels. The Inside Investment Consultant uses daily contact through email and calls and occasional in-person meetings, to build relationships and increase sales.
Accountabilities
1. Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
2. Contributes to the continued growth of managed asset solutions AUM within Scotia Wealth Management by:
3. Creates proposals for ScotiaMcLeod Advisors and PIC Relationship Managers that highlight Scotia Wealth Management's Total Wealth Offering and managed asset programs and will:
4. Assists with establishing managed asset AUM targets and developing a strategic business plan within Scotia Wealth Management that will result in:
Success will be determined by the incumbent's ability to help the team achieve sales growth of investment products through their defined region.
5. Acts as the primary sales and service support for SM and PIC managed asset programs by:
6. Contributes to the overall success of Investment Solutions and other key areas by:
7. Understands how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
8. Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.
