The Financial and Consumer Affairs Authority of Saskatchewan (FCAA) protects consumers and the public interest and supports economic well-being through responsive marketplace regulation. The FCAA enhances consumer protection through licensing, registration, disclosure, audit, complaint handling and enforcement activities pursuant to various provincial statutes. The Securities Division of the FCAA protects investors by regulating the sale of securities and derivatives in Saskatchewan. Within its Enforcement Branch, we are seeking an experienced law enforcement professional to fill our Investigator position. As the successful candidate, you will be part of a team which conducts investigations into breaches of Saskatchewan securities law. These in-depth investigations will challenge your knowledge of the Canadian Criminal Code procedures and practice, rules of evidence, and draw upon your previous experience and training as a senior investigator with a law enforcement agency. To qualify for this position, you must have a university degree in criminology or criminal justice or have successfully completed a recognized Canadian Police College Training program. You will have highly developed analytical, research, and investigative skills. You will be proficient in the use and understanding of new technologies and applications including social media, software applications and tools. You will have excellent inter-personal skills and a demonstrated collaborative and results-oriented style in working effectively both within a team structure and independently. Knowledge of the securities and derivatives industry and completion of the Canadian Securities Course would be considered assets. As a condition of employment, the successful candidate will be required to complete the Exempt Market Products Course.
