Dispatch trucks, update orders and load screens while also properly closing orders timely in accordance with company guidelines
Manage existing business accounts and continuously build customer rapport
Utilize internal tools to negotiate market freight rates for the customer
Oversee freight from origin to destination and take responsibility for any occurrences while solving them both constructively and timely
Ensure customer satisfaction of both internal and external business partners by being committed to exceeding expectations while respecting company policies
Maintain a working knowledge of the company's specialty services, internal resources, competitive strategies, and customer requirements
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a full truckload environment with specific knowledge of flatbed, oversized loads, and other related specialty equipment with an understanding of overall freight movement including permit requirements for North America
Previous experience with proposing and negotiating freight quotes within a full truckload environment specific to flatbed/oversized equipment that will generate the best margin for both the customer and our organization
Able to work independently while supporting the team
Experience in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities
Excellent inter-personal and communication skills, both written and verbal
Exude a competitive nature and a desire to surpass existing goals
Results oriented with the drive to want to grow within the organization
Prefer previous experience in an inside sales/business development environment
Prefer a working knowledge of freight brokerage within a third party logistics company
