Overview
Pembina Pipeline Corporation’s Calgary office is recruiting a Logistics Analyst to join the Conventional Pipeline Business Unit (CBU). Reporting to the Manager, Logistics, the successful candidate will be responsible for scheduling and forecasting the movement of product on one of Pembina’s major pipeline systems. In managing the entire pipeline logistics process for their assigned system, the Analyst, Logistics can influence both day-to-day and future operations.
Responsibilities
- Analyze the pipeline nomination process for accuracy, reasonability and pipeline capacity;
- Monitor responsibilities in gathering, transporting and exchanging product;
- Communicate with external customers to ensure appropriate controls and provisions are in place;
- Provide analysis on volumetric forecasting reports to management;
- Monitor and manage customer imbalances and provide analysis to shippers as per industry timelines and reconcile shipper positions;
- Observe and report trends and pipeline developments on Pembina’s systems;
- Ensure accuracy of producer/shipper monthly activity and nominated volumes;
- Schedule and coordinate with downstream facilities to ensure verification process is adhered to;
- Develop and sustain strong relationships with external customers and internal operating and business groups;
- Participate with Pembina’s Sherwood Park Control Centre and Field Operations with established operating plan;
- Achieve in-depth knowledge of rules and regulations, pipeline capacity and committed contracted throughout, and;
- Participate in an inclusive and diverse workplace.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Commerce, Finance, Economics or related discipline;
- 5+ years of NGL and/or Crude Oil related experience combined with strong knowledge of logistics;
- Proficient in MS Office with advanced Excel skills;
- Previous experience with Power BI are considered assets;
- Sound judgment and decision-making skills with demonstrated ability to be pro-active in identifying potential issues and providing solutions;
- Organized, detailed, analytical and able to consistently deliver accurate and timely information;
- Adaptable to changing priorities and proven ability to multi-task while meeting strict deadlines;
- Excellent communication skills and an ability to engage, negotiate and build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders at all levels within an organization;
- Customer-focused, collaborative team player and self-motivated;
- Energetic, resilient, and goal-oriented;
- Able to thrive in a very busy, dynamic and deadline driven environment.
