Job Description - Product Manager

Our team is looking for a Product Manager II to support our product innovation workstream for Microsoft Teams messaging and collaboration. In this role, you’ll work with cross functional teams to envision, define, and deliver cutting edge generative AI experiences in Teams.   • Leverage customer feedback and insights to iterate and improve the product.
  • Lead iterative feature development process from just an idea, through the implementation stage and all the way to the launch.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams of engineers, researchers, designers, and partners to deliver high-quality products that meet user expectations and business objectives.
  • Define and track key performance indicators and success metrics for the products and use data and feedback to inform product decisions and iterations.
  • Define and prioritize product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria, and communicate them clearly to the development team and stakeholders.
  • Identify and prioritize customer needs, market opportunities, and competitive gaps, and translate them into clear and actionable product requirements and specifications.
  • Measure and evaluate product performance and user satisfaction, and identify opportunities for improvement and growth.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to implement and apply Microsoft’s Responsible AI standards.
  • Communicate product updates, progress, risks, and plans to all levels of the organization, and solicit feedback and buy-in from cross-functional partners.
  • Contribute to a culture that fosters creativity, diversity, and inclusion; and help make the team a fun and inspiring place to work.

Qualifications Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer science, Engineering, or related field AND 2+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Familiarity working with AI technologies, especially generative AI, and familiarity with the latest trends and developments in the field.
  • Experience shipping enterprise-quality products, and managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders and dependencies.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science, engineering, or related field AND 4+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, and ability to work effectively in a cross-functional and diverse team with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to handle ambiguity and rapid change while staying true to customer needs through experimentation and customer studies.
  • Proficient analytical, critical thinking, and decision-making skills, and ability to use data and customer feedback to drive product decisions.
  • Passionate, creative, and customer-focused, and driven by a growth mindset and a desire to learn and improve.
  • Team player, confident, independent, and enthusiastic.
Product Management IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across Canada is CAD $79,600 - CAD $153,000 per year.
