Production Associate (printing)
Hours: 7am -8:30Am start (7.5 hours)
Pay rate: $24-$26/hour
Location: 404 & HWY 7
Benefits after 3 months ! The production associates are responsible for the production of valuable, defect-free products that meet or exceed our customers' expectation. This is accomplished by following established procedures and guidelines according to production specifications and schedules; volume, cost, and wastage targets; and quality standards. Success in this position will be achieved by executing to standard work and adhering to all company policies. Duties:
Operate machines and production equipment safely and in accordance with instructions.
Monitor the quality of output to identify, discard, or re-manufacture faulty products.
Maintain accurate daily production records so that manufacturing performance can be analyzed.
Follow Schedule Boards or Hour by Hour boards
Run samples and adjust print quality, registration, color settings and mixings to match
order specifications.
Perform final pre-run inspection of job, quality checks during the run, and job completion,
meeting quality and quantity standards.
Perform all required preventive maintenance of equipment.
Handle and dispose of hazardous materials and chemicals according to procedures.
Work from standard work, written instructions, and established procedures to complete
assigned tasks.
Address and resolve routine inquiries and problems, referring the more complex issues
to the supervisors.
Contribute to problem solving through root-cause analysis.
Interact with different team members to provide updates on current jobs, issues, or updates.
Perform all other related duties as assigned. Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
Basic math and computer skills including email, Microsoft Office, and data entry.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to safely lift and carry 50 lbs.; ability to stand for 80% of shift; and ability
to push/pull 22 lbs.
Ability to read & follow written directions
Detail oriented, strong work ethic & a positive can do attitude
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Mechanical aptitude (working with hand tools, pneumatic tools, following work instructions
for disassembling and reassembling various types of process equipment); must be able to read a ruler accurately within 1/64".
Ability to follow standard work and maintain standards of production (both in quantity
and quality).
Willingness and ability to be cross-trained. Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
1 year of experience in large format digital printing.
Demonstrated leadership qualities and self-direction.
Experience in lean manufacturing.
Basic algebra knowledge (e.g. order of operations).
CNC Router experience.
HTML design proficiency at a beginner skill level.
Experience with graphics software.
