RBC Capital Markets is actively seeking a driven and hardworking professional to join our Central Risk Book Group as a Quantitative Analyst.
In this role, the Central Risk Book Analyst will develop and improve statistical frameworks to measure execution quality and trading costs, to manage internal/external flows in a systematic and efficient way.
Responsibilities:
Analyze large data sets to extract actionable information about the equities flows to optimize internalization and overall execution for the bank.
Optimize flow scheduling based on intraday alpha expectations, market impact/reversion, timeof-day, and other factors.
Develop / validate various models including market impact models, slippage cost models, trading cost models, etc.
Conduct research, back-tests & simulations to develop and improve liquidity provision & trading strategies.
Constant interaction with the cash equity, derivatives & structure trading desk.
Qualifications:
Degree(s) in a quantitative or technical discipline.
Exceptionally strong understanding of applied statistics and data science.
Very self-motivated, willing to be part of a very dynamic and competitive team.
Excellent communication and presentation skills. Must be able to effectively engage with a diverse set of partners to the Equities Central Risk trading effort.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Coding experience – need to be comfortable with one of the languages: C++ or Java.
