Are you ready to take the next big step in your hospitality career? Four Seasons Hotel Toronto is currently looking for a driven, organized and dynamic Rooms Controller who shares our passion for excellence and who infuses enthusiasm into everything they do!

About the role:

The Rooms Controller must have a commitment and passion for ensuring the best in guest services and assisting with creating a welcoming first impression and lasting farewell.

Key Functions:

  • Assigning rooms for all arrivals, with considerations of the estimated time of arrivals, personal guest preferences and stay history. Special focus on Elite guests and other VIP guests
  • Coordinating with Housekeeping to track readiness of rooms for check-in
  • Running daily reports (number of arrivals, departures), identify any special requests, and check reports for accuracy
  • Speaking with team members using clear and professional language; answering telephones with appropriate etiquette
  • Assisting with check-in and check-out when needed
  • Handling and managing “Queue” Rooms
  • Keeping track of changes on room status (e.g., early check-out, late check-out, room transfer, unexpected stay over) for Housekeeping
  • Accommodating requests for room changes when possible
  • Working closely with Reservations department
  • Clearing departures in computer system to document rooms that are no longer occupied
  • Reviewing and preparing for early check-ins, express and late check-out requests from guests and providing guidance to teams based on occupancy and arrival patterns
  • Liaise with Housekeeping to prepare showrooms for sales & marketing needs
  • Attending weekly meetings
  • Handling all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible; resolves guest complaints; assists guests in all inquiries in connection with hotel services, hours of operations, key hotel personnel, in-house events, directions, etc.

Preferred qualifications & skills:

  • At least 1 year experience within the same or similar position with hospitality;
  • Previous luxury hotel operations experience
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • The ability to multi-task on several assignments at once
  • The ability to operate computer equipment and several other computer programs
  • Computer proficiency, especially in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Previous experience with OPERA PMS and HotSOS
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English
  • Additional language a definite asset for career growth
  • Completion of Post Secondary Education in Hospitality or related field.

Schedule & Hours:

The ideal candidate will have an open availability and able to work weekdays, weekends, and holiday
