Responsibilities

Designs, develops, deploys and tests software applications and application interfaces, and works collaboratively with peers and stakeholders to ensure that all information systems programs and projects meet development standards for usability, operability, performance, and end-user requirements. Analyses business requirements and contributes to the application architecture, integration, technology choices and development strategy. Provides technical support to maintain and improve quality of software applications. Contributes to continuous improvement of the software development processes, practices and tools.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

Diploma in computer science, computer systems engineering, software engineering, or mathematics from a recognized university or technology institution with courses in business and systems analysis, software design and programming, and use of software development tools.

EXPERIENCE:

Requires three (3) years of recent related experience in the development of highly scalable and robust commercial software and web applications, utilizing tools and information engineering techniques, software design patterns, development methodologies, best practices, and client-side web technologies.

A further period of up to one (1) year in the position is required to become familiar with TransLink's information systems, policies, procedures, environment and its user requirements, as well as corporate road maps.

Other Information

Experience with HTML5, vanilla JavaScript (ECMA), and CSS3 is preferred.

Experience in multi-threading is an asset.

Sitecore/CMS knowledge is an asset.

MS Azure knowledge is an asset.

Terraform knowledge is an asset.

Knowledge of functional programming is an asset.

Recruitment Process: An applicant will be required to demonstrate their suitability for this position by meeting the minimum level of qualifications and experience in order to be invited into the selection process. A standard interview format will be used including general, scenario and behavioural descriptive interview questions.

37.5 hours per week.

Hybrid

This position offers the flexibility of working both on-site and remotely within B.C.

Rate of Pay

Salary $7,977 - $9,593 per month (Actual salary offered will be commensurate with education, experience and internal parity).
