Transportation Compliance Coordinator

Key Information:
- Must have at least 2 Years Previous Experience in a similar role.
- Must be able to ensure compliance with all regulations and record keeping concerning all transportation matters.
- Hours: Based on a 40-hour work week (8 hours a day, Monday - Friday)
- Hourly rate is dependent on experience.

Job Description:
- Regularly monitor, audit and report driver hours of service compliance using electronic logbooks and related software.
- Enforce policies and standards and ensure compliance with transport regulations.
- Manage IFTA accounts and complete quarterly reporting requirements.
- Monitor, Counsel, and Document driver violations of any federal laws or company policies or regulations.
- Ensure new hires are properly trained for their daily required paperwork related to transportation while maintaining Driver/Vehicle files up to date.
- Ensure compliance with all regulations and record keeping concerning all transportation matters such as National Safety Code, Carrier Profile, etc.
- Assemble educational materials to guide training personnel in effective training of drivers.
- Participate in meetings with third party carriers and drivers where required.
- Monitor and audit third party carrier Shipping Paper compliance.
- Maintain all CVSE/DOT inspection & violation records.
- Assist hiring managers with internal driver onboarding, documentation and recordkeeping.
- Complete internal driver Abstract/MVR checks and maintain all driver qualification files.
- Assist in data collection for incident investigations.
- Advise management of compliance concerns.
- Perform other special projects as assigned.
Experience and Certification Requirements:
- At Least 2 Years Previous Experience in a similar role, required.
- Familiar with Transportation Legislation and knowledge of Canadian regulations. including Driver Hours of Service, Vehicle Maintenance & Inspections.
- Transportation of Dangerous Goods.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and Strong interpersonal and a go-getter attitude.
- Proficient in MS 365 with an aptitude to learn new software quickly.
- Positive attitude and willingness to take on new challenges.
- Demonstrated organizational skills.
- A reliable means of transportation is required.
- Proficient English language skills required.
Education: Completion of high school or equivalent is required.
