Position : Zwart Systems Inc. requires a Logistics and Warehouse Assistant that exudes passion, energy and initiative with a professional demeanor, that enjoys a fast-paced environment to join our team. This key role requires a candidate who is a team player with excellent listening, organizational and inter-personal skills with a desire to evolve and grow with a progressive organization.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Process shipped orders in Genius ERP System
• Create packing slips for picked orders
• Inspect and verify outgoing customer orders
• Verify and coordinate received product for reshipment to vendors
• Assist in maintaining accurate internal record keeping systems using Genius ERP system
• Create backorder paperwork
• Create courier shipments and returns, prepare customs documents and bill of ladings for common carrier and courier
• Work with all departments and logistic companies to ensure accurate shipping details
• Maintain communication with customers by forwarding notices, shipment dates and any other status related to their shipments
• Trace and track shipments as requested by internal or external customers
• Communicate shipped projects and/or backorders with Project Management team
• Work with Production, Project Management and Purchasing to investigate and resolve shipping / receiving discrepancies
• Document transfers of product between facilities
• Assist with inventory cycle counting
• Assist with parts picking
• Audit inventory to monitor and confirm inventory records as requested
• Be available to perform backup deliver driver if dictated by high volume of deliveries
• Attend all company meetings and training as required
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, safety protocols and quality management
• This is not intended to be all inclusive and employee may perform other related duties to meet organizational needs

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Exceptional problem-solving skills and be detail oriented
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
• Must be able to function successfully in a busy, fast paced environment
• Proficient skills in the use of computer software for word processing, spreadsheets, email, Internet
• Knowledge of shipping receiving and quality control practices preferred
• Experience with Genius ERP software an asset
• Professional and respectful interpersonal and customer skills
• Accept accountability and responsibility
• Previous Forklift and Reach truck experience and/or certification an asset
• Familiarity with WHMIS and SDS
• Must be capable of working well as part of a team
• Physically able to lift up to 50lbs
• Able to work effectively under pressure in time sensitive situations and adapt well to change
• Valid G License with clean driving abstract

REMUNERATION:

The position is full-time Monday to Friday days. Zwart Systems offers the successful candidate vacation time and competitive wages that will be based on education, skill set and experience. A company benefit package is offered after successful completion of the probationary period.
