Overview
NCJWC-Toronto has been a catalyst for engaging Jewish women in addressing the needs of the vulnerable through education, volunteerism and social action. We are on a path of transformation and growth. NCJWC Toronto is seeking a skilled, dynamic individual to drive all communications needs of the organization as well as build the public profile of the organization by supporting outreach and engagement. The successful candidate will have a diverse skill set: excellent communication skills (written and oral), strategic thinking, creative/design skills, passion about building community and understanding of the role that social media plays in building an organization.
Responsibilities
- Working with the Executive Director and volunteer program chairs, develop and implement comprehensive communications, marketing and content strategies that align with NCJWC Toronto’s overall organizational goals and objectives
- Oversee and develop content for various channels, including social media (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and other channels), the website, newsletters and quarterly and annual reports. In addition, create coordinating materials for events, signage, tribute cards, etc.
- Ensure consistent messaging, visual identity, and tone across all communication materials and platforms. This includes creating high-quality written and visual content appropriate for each channel
- Oversee and expand our online presence, ensuring that our digital marketing efforts are innovative, timely, and effective
- Track and analyze the effectiveness of marketing and communications strategies. Use insights from data to refine approaches and enhance future campaigns
- Oversee data migration to Canada Helps and utilize data segmentation to drive communications and outreach to various constituencies on an ongoing basis
- Manage partner and vendor relationships as required
- Set up online events and registration systems and track attendance
- Support outreach and engagement, and attend occasional events and board meetings
- Stand in for ED when necessary.
Requirements:
- Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field
- 3-5 years of progressive experience in marketing, events and PR, preferably within non-profit sector
- Familiarity with Canada Helps, FB, Insta, Wordpress, mailchimp, Canva, google forms, ppt, excel, web management
- Proficient in digital marketing, graphic design, website management, and written content creation. You may be asked to provide examples.
- Strong project management abilities—capable of leading multiple projects with tight deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a knack for building relationships. Experience working with volunteers a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with the Jewish community is desirable
This is a 2.5 day week hybrid position. Salary commensurate with experience.
