Who you are

You are a creative thinker, who is analytical, result-driven and receptive to working with others’ ideas. You are a specialist in transforming business persona into a compelling narrative and effective marketing campaigns. You have an in-depth understanding of B2B and partnership marketing in the natural resource sectors such as forestry, mining, oil and gas, and utilities. You’re confident handling the technical sides of content production and delivery when you need to get your hands “dirty”.

What you will do

Reporting to VP, Growth, you will play a critical role in supporting Silvacom’s market growth.

You are responsible for leading marketing and communications projects and assisting our Business Development team as we seek new business opportunities and develop relationships with potential clients. You will be working with a diverse team of marketing professionals, proposal writers, resource analysts, graphic designers, and application developers to:

• Lead the development and implementation of yearly marketing plans for several Silvacom Group brands.
• Develop co-marketing relationships with technology vendors/partners.
• Own all external and internal marketing and communications activities and campaigns, including but is not limited to:
• Internal communications management
• Award application management
• Develop metrics and analytical dashboard in tracking marketing goals and progress.
• Work closely with the business development team to identify new opportunities and create compelling content for growth and engagement.
• Collaborate with other teams within the company to ensure consistency of messaging and branding across all channels.
• Create and manage digital content, including website content, blogs, email campaigns, and videos.
• Manage marketing budgets, and track and measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns.
• Develop marketing materials such as information sheets, postcards, corporate gifts, swags, etc.
• Manage the company's public relations and CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) activities, including developing press releases and news articles.
• Act as the crisis communications leader.
• Act as the CRM (HubSpot) owner for Silvacom Ltd.

What you bring

• An undergraduate degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field
• Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in a marketing and communications specialist or leader role in a B2B context
• Experience with digital marketing platforms and tools, including social media, email marketing, and website management
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience writing press releases, blogs, or other marketing content
• Experience working with a full tech deck:
• * Internal platforms: Jostle/Slack
• * Creativity: Adobe Creative Suite is an asset
• * SEO tools is an asset
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects from start to finish.
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work under pressure and deliver within tight deadlines
• Desire to be challenged and advance professionally, and foster team development.
