Job Description:

Freeport-McMoRan is seeking a passionate and hardworking PR Associate to join our team in Vancouver, British Columbia. As a PR Associate, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic communication plans to enhance the company's brand reputation. This is a full-time remote position at the Associate level, requiring a minimum of 3 years of experience in public relations or related field.

Responsibilities: - Develop and execute PR campaigns to promote the company's initiatives and projects - Write press releases, speeches, and other communication materials - Build and maintain relationships with media contacts and key stakeholders - Monitor and analyze media coverage to identify trends and opportunities - Coordinate press events and interviews - Assist in crisis management and communication strategies - Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistency in messaging

Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, or related field - Minimum of 3 years of experience in public relations - Strong planning and organizational skills - Creative thinker with the ability to generate innovative ideas - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Proficiency in Microsoft Office and social media platforms
