Job Description

Enterprise Canada is looking for a highly driven intern who is passionate about public affairs. The ideal candidate is interested in starting a career in the public affairs sector and building experience in government relations.

This position is located in Toronto.

What You Are Good At

• Being able to work on multiple issues simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Preparing top-notch content, including presentations, letters, briefing notes, and speaking points.
• Monitoring and following the news of the day and tracking government agendas and activities across multiple policy areas.
• Supporting other members of the team to ensure alignment of core goals and objectives on files.
• Understanding and adopting best practices for communicating with government, industry stakeholders, and influencers in a digital-driven environment.
• Knowledge of social media and public relations.

What You Bring

• Education: graduated from or currently studying at a post-secondary level in a related field.
• Ability to coordinate and work on multiple files at the same time.
• A keen interest in politics, policy, communications, and social media.
• Self-starter with a strong work ethic.
• Attention to detail and excellent command of written and verbal communications.
• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
