Salary:                                          $31.34- $37.46/HR – 35 Hours per Week

POSITION SCOPE:

 The Community Wellness Program Worker is responsible for promoting mental health and addiction awareness through culturally grounded, holistic, and community-based education. This role empowers community members to make healthy lifestyle choices and supports the overall wellness of Atikameksheng Anishnawbek.  

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Diploma or Degree in Health and/or Social Work, or an equivalent program.


• 3-5 years’ work experience in social/health and prevention program settings


• CPIC (Vulnerable Sector) – must be provided at the time of employment offer


• Ability to work flexible hours, including evening and weekends

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop, implement and evaluate wellness programming for the community


• Facilitate programming addressing needs identified in the Mental Health and Addictions program, Community Strategic Plan, and the needs of the community.


• Assist in the development of culturally appropriate educational and promotional materials


• Participate in annual workplan development with the Health Team
