Salary:                                         $31.34- $37.46/HR – 35 Hours per Week

POSITION SCOPE:

The purpose of the Adult Day Programmer is to provide health promotion and prevention activities to the adult and senior (Elder) population of Atikameksheng Anishnawbek. As part of the primary duties, this position will provide appropriate knowledge and skills through program activities. The Adult Day Programmer will incorporate physical, spiritual, mental and emotional well-being into all programs and services offered.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Diploma in Social/Health Sciences


• Or equivalent experience of two (2) years in direct prevention programming


• Required to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends


• Valid Ontario Class ‘G’ Driver’s License

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• To provide programs and services that incorporate the mental, emotional, social and physical well-being of adults and seniors (Elders)


• To research and provide resources Adult Day Programmer


• To deliver workshops, information sessions • Plan and implement social and recreational programs


• Promote healthier lifestyles through physical fitness programs


• Provide cultural and spiritual appropriate programs
