POSITION SCOPE:

The Diner’s Club Cook is responsible for providing nutritious meals to Atikameksheng

Anishnawbek Elders and Community Members, in addition to educating those we serve on

nutrition and healthy eating.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Grade 12 or equivalency


• WHMIS Certificate


• Food Handler’s Certificate


• Current First Aid and CPR Certification


• Basic budgeting skills


• Advanced Cook Apprenticeship an asset

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervises the receiving and safe storage of food products according to policies


• Plans balanced nutritional menu Diners Club, in collaboration with the dietitian


• Prepare meals in large quantities to serve approximately 40 people or more


• Maintains adequate inventories of ingredients and supplies


• Responsible for the proper operation and care of cooking equipment


• Set up and take down of meal services settings
