ATCO Frontec is seeking a 2^nd Cook to join and to support our remote camp in Menihek, NL. We’re looking for a great teammate who knows their way around the kitchen and is ready and willing to provide support to the entire kitchen staff with food preparation, cooking, and cleaning. 

Our positions work on 12 hour shifts, 14 day on and 14 days off rotation. Accommodation and meals during your work rotations are provided by the company. Travel days are not paid.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure meals are prepared and served to the highest standard 

• Support kitchen operations in a professional manner 

• Knowledgeable with the equipment that you are required to use in a safe manner 

• Inspect food and equipment on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis 

• Leave your workplace in a clean and tidy manner 

• Other duties as assigned by management from time to time 

Qualifications:

• Completion of a college or other post-secondary program in cooking 

• The successful candidate must hold a valid food safety certificate 

• 2-3 years’ experience as 2nd cook in the hotel/restaurant industry 

• Ability to prioritize and multitask   

• Professional communication skills, oral, and written 

• Work well under pressure
