TECHNICAL EXPERTISE & OPERATIONAL DUTIES (Weighting 60%)

System Design, Installation, and Maintenance

• Design and installation of welded, threaded, and/or brazed refrigeration piping systems.
• Conduct start-ups, inspections, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance for refrigeration and compression systems, resolving system issues as needed.
• Interpret blueprints, schematic drawings, and manufacturer instructions to independently construct, assemble, and install equipment.

Problem Resolution

• Troubleshoot refrigeration electrical control systems and perform necessary repairs.
• Perform all work in compliance with the Quality Control and Health & Safety program.
• Take on additional duties as required to support job functions.

• Ensure accurate and timely completion of paperwork and reports to facilitate prompt invoicing and support customer and company needs.

• Registered with Apprenticeship Industry Training (AIT) as a third/fourth-year apprentice (Refrigeration) or Journeyman certification or equivalent in HVAC refrigeration mechanics.
• Basic computer skills required (MS Office Applications)
• Class A Gas Fitting is an asset
• Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Willingness to learn and develop technical skills through on-the-job training.
• Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean Driver's Abstract
• Ability to work independently and on-call.
• Ability to work out of town. Travel and overnight stays may be required from time to time.
