We are seeking a qualified and experienced Truck and Coach Technician with a 310T certification for our client in Sudbury, ON. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy-duty trucks and coaches to ensure they operate safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Perform inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy-duty trucks and coaches according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and suspension systems.
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify problems and determine the most effective repair solutions.
- Replace or repair faulty components and systems, ensuring proper installation and functionality.
- Test repaired vehicles to ensure they meet safety and performance standards.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance activities, and repairs performed.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while performing repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Collaborate with other team members and departments to coordinate repairs and ensure timely completion of work orders.
- Keep abreast of industry trends, developments, and advancements in truck and coach technology.
Qualifications:
- 310T certification as a Truck and Coach Technician.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification is an asset.
- Proven experience as a truck and coach technician or similar role.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Familiarity with heavy-duty truck and coach systems and components.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics.
- Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Sudbury, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (mandatory)
Experience:
- Heavy Duty Mechanic: 2 years (mandatory)
