This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a 3D Art Generalist – Driving Empire based in Canada.
This is an opportunity to contribute directly to one of the largest driving experiences on Roblox, shaping the environments, props, and worlds explored daily by millions of players worldwide. You’ll be responsible for creating high-quality, optimized 3D assets that bring cities, roads, interiors, and interactive spaces to life within a fast-moving live game environment. Working closely with the Art Lead and cross-functional game teams, you’ll help define and maintain a consistent visual identity while ensuring strong technical performance across all assets. The role blends creativity, technical precision, and gameplay awareness in a highly collaborative remote-first studio. You’ll see your work deployed at massive scale, continuously evolving with player engagement and live updates. This is a hands-on craft role where quality, optimization, and iteration speed are equally important. You’ll also have the chance to contribute to branded collaborations and large-scale world-building initiatives.
Accountabilities:
You will be responsible for producing and delivering high-quality 3D assets that support gameplay and world-building across a large-scale live Roblox environment, ensuring both visual fidelity and performance optimization. You will collaborate closely with the Art Lead and development teams to execute on established artistic direction while contributing creative input where appropriate.
- Design, model, and deliver 3D assets including buildings (interior and exterior), props, vehicles, roads, and environmental elements
- Follow established art pipelines and production workflows to ensure efficient creation, optimization, and integration of assets
- Collaborate with the Art Lead to solve artistic and technical challenges while meeting deadlines and performance constraints
- Apply creativity and player-focused thinking to ensure assets enhance gameplay experience and visual storytelling
- Incorporate feedback to refine assets and maintain alignment with quality, style, and technical standards
- Support the development of branded content and large-scale environment collaborations when required
Requirements:
You bring strong professional experience in 3D art for games, with deep familiarity working in Roblox Studio or similar real-time environments. You are comfortable balancing artistic quality with strict optimization constraints and thrive in collaborative, fast-paced production settings.
- 3+ years of professional experience as a 3D Artist in Roblox or equivalent game development experience
- Strong proficiency in Roblox Studio and understanding of performance optimization for live game environments
- Solid knowledge of mesh topology, asset efficiency, and real-time rendering constraints
- A portfolio demonstrating stylized environments such as cities, buildings, roads, or open-world game assets
- Experience working within an established art style and adapting creative output accordingly
- Strong communication skills with a collaborative and feedback-driven mindset
- Nice to have: passion for automotive culture, experience with licensed IPs, and large-scale world-building
