Job Description - 4th Class Power Engineer

You'll Do:



  • Maintain a safe work environment

  • Care, control and operation of thermal fluid heaters and auxiliary equipment

  • Care, control and operation of water treatment systems

  • Care, control and operation of mechanical refiners

  • Monitoring and operation of various computer-controlled remote systems

  • Work in both a control room and production floor environment

  • Quality control testing, reporting and data logging


You have:



  • A valid fourth-class power engineering designation, including firing time

  • Proven ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

  • Demonstrated problem-solving, troubleshooting and analytical skills

  • Desire to progress, learn, grow, and succeed

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills


Compensation Package:


The hourly pay rate for this position may vary depending on experience, education, and location.


Your Workplace Location:


Located in Alberta, Blue Ridge and its surrounding area, which includes the cities of Whitecourt and Mayerthorpe, have populations ranging from approximately 200 to 10,500. These communities are located less than 2 hours West of the major City of Edmonton or 3 hours East of the world-renowned Jasper National Park.  These communities offer affordable housing, recreational and educational facilities, regular community events, and many activities for the outdoor enthusiast year-round.  It doesn’t take long to feel part of our welcoming communities!
