## Grow with us\n\n5G RAN Verification Engineer\n\nAbout the role\n\nAs a 5G RAN Verification Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring end-to-end system quality, validating that our products meet 3GPP standards, customer requirements, and Ericsson\u2019s high reliability expectations.\n\n## What you will do:\n\n * Drive end-to-end feature verification and validation of 5G RAN features across 5G RAN deployments.\n\n\n\n * Perform requirement analysis and feature impact assessment during integration and verification phases.\n\n\n\n * Execute system-level, regression, and stability testing using commercial UE and test tools in lab and pre-customer environments.\n\n\n\n * Perform advanced troubleshooting and root-cause analysis across 5G RAN layers using logs, traces, and protocol analysis.\n\n\n\n * Conduct data-driven software quality assessments, identifying critical KPIs, counters, and failure patterns to support release decisions.\n\n\n\n * Participate in customer validation, acceptance testing, and field-trial support, ensuring a smooth transition from lab to live networks.\n\n\n\n * Collaborate closely with RAN development, CI/CD, system integration, and customer project teams to resolve issues efficiently.\n\n\n\n * Drive continuous improvements in test coverage, verification frameworks, automation, and working methods.\n\n\n\n## What you will bring:\n\n * Bachelor\u2019s or Master\u2019s degree in Electronics \u0026 Communication, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.\n\n\n\n * Hands-on experience in 5G NR feature / system verification or validation. Deep understanding of 5G NR protocols (MAC, PHY, RLC, PDCP)\n\n\n\n * Strong experience working in a Linux environment, including Proficiency with Linux commands and shell usage\n\n\n\n * Solid understanding and hands-on configuration management workflows, including: Git, Gerrit, Jenkins\n\n\n\n * Practical experience with UE and network test tools, including: TM500, Qualcomm UE, QxDM, Wireshark for protocol and IP-layer analysis\n\n\n\n * Strong skills in log analysis, trace analysis, and protocol debugging at system level.\n\n\n\n * Good understanding of IP networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, latency, packet loss, throughput).\n\n\n\n * Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities.\n\n\n\n * Ability to work effectively in cross-functional, multi-site, and globally distributed teams.\n\n\n\nWhat happens once you apply? \nClick Here to find all you need to know about what our typical hiring process looks like.\n\nEricsson uses a merit-based hiring approach that values people with different experiences, perspectives and skillsets.
