A&I Products (a division of John Deere) is a leading manufacturer and wholesale distributor of aftermarket replacement parts for the agricultural, turf, and industrial equipment markets.


 


We are seeking qualified candidates to fill the position of PRODUCTION WELDER at A&I Products Inc. in Altona, Manitoba. We are looking for motivated candidates to be members of our high quality, fast-paced team! 


 


Position Summary


As a Production Welder with A&I Products Inc. in Altona, Manitoba, you will:


Perform welding operations in a production environment focused on safety, quality, and teamwork.  Job details are dependent on duties assigned but in general consist of the following:


 



  • Weld parts and sub-assemblies to specification using various welding processes.

  • Adjust voltage, heat, pressure, and speed to maintain quality.

  • Read and comprehend work instructions and follow established procedures.

  • Utilize manufacturing tools to record data and keep records for quality and maintenance.

  • Check results for conformance to specifications and make necessary corrections.

  • Operate power driven equipment such as forklifts and industrial trucks to move material, parts, and equipment.

  • Use various types of tools and equipment to perform work - including but not limited to CNC / robotic welding equipment, safety equipment, manual arc welders, grinders, hoists, overhead cranes, fixtures, and applicable hand and power tools.

  • Lubricate, check, and clean work equipment and tooling.

  • Assist and support other team members.

  • Clean work area and perform other miscellaneous duties inherent to the job.


 


Minimum Qualifications: 



  • 1 year experience welding in a manufacturing environment.

  • Ability to perform manual tasks related to described job duties for duration of work shift, including but not limited to frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 40lbs, and performing repetitive actions.

  • Ability to read and use a tape measure


 


Preferred qualifications:



  • Manufacturing experience and/or Welding experience is an asset

  • Perform quality work

  • Work well in a team environment

  • Must be self-motivated

  • Safety conscious


 


Hours of Work



  • Day shift: Monday to Friday 7am to 3:30pm. Hours of work may vary occasionally.  The successful candidate must be available and willing to work variable hours on occasion as required.


 


Additional job details:



  • Safety equipment and training will be provided

  • Reliable transportation is required as there is limited public transit access
