Job Description - Account Director

William Thomas Digital (WTD) is seeking an Account Director to lead key client relationships, drive revenue growth, and help deliver world-class, personalized customer experiences.

This is a hands-on, strategic, and commercial role. You’ll build trusted partnerships with senior stakeholders, forecast and grow your clients, and work closely with strategists, creatives, and technologists to bring bold, effective programs to life. You’ll ensure we’re not just meeting expectations but we’re pushing the work forward, making clients successful, and delivering results that matter.

Client success is your north star. You’ll be accountable for the results we deliver, the quality of our work, and the strength of the relationship from roadmap through execution.

What You’ll Do

  • Serve as the senior day-to-day lead for one or more of WTD’s top client accounts
  • Build long-term partnerships by deeply understanding your clients’ business, goals, and customers
  • Act as a trusted advisor to VP- and Director-level stakeholders, helping them navigate complexity and make bold, smart decisions
  • Guide conversations that matter, from roadmap planning and QBRs to executive check-ins and in-the-moment problem solving
  • Own the commercial success of your accounts including revenue, margin, pipeline, and forecasting
  • Identify whitespace opportunities, shape new scopes of work, and influence roadmaps that drive business forward
  • Collaborate with internal teams to craft proposals, pitches, and business cases that unlock value for both the client and WTD
  • Deliver accurate forecasts, ensure healthy margins, and keep a close eye on account performance
  • Ensure all work we deliver is on-brand, on-brief, and drives results whether it's a major strategic initiative or a day-to-day campaign
  • Translate client goals into clear plans and work with cross-functional teams to execute them
  • Step in where needed to review deliverables, clarify strategy, help shape messaging, or keep a project on track
  • Maintain a high bar for quality, consistency, and momentum
  • Partner closely with strategists, creatives, technologists, and data specialists to shape integrated solutions that work
  • Champion clarity, communication, and shared accountability across every phase of delivery
  • Help unblock challenges and create the conditions for teams to do their best work

What You Bring

  • 7 to 10 years of experience in a client-facing role at a CRM, CX, digital marketing, or consulting firm
  • A proven track record of growing accounts, building client trust, and delivering measurable impact
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex, high-visibility work
  • Good mentorship and team leadership abilities. Ability to mentor and grow team mates earlier in their careers
  • Strong understanding of CRM, personalization, marketing automation, and data-driven marketing
  • Familiarity with platforms like Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Braze, Adobe, or Bloomreach is a strong asset
    A commercial mindset with a clear understanding of revenue ownership, margin, forecasting, and opportunity development
    Confident communication skills written, verbal, and visual. You can lead a room, defend a point of view, and make the complex simple
  • Curiosity, clarity, and a high bias for action
