Responsibilities

• Process bill payments within the budget


• Monitor cash flow and liaise with bank


• Review expenses and handle employee reimbursements


• Prepare and file PST and GST returns


• Perform month-end closing procedures


• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial analysis


• Assist with budget preparation and monitoring


• Aid in internal & external audit process      


• Cover for colleagues during vacations


• Address other financial reporting needs as required


• Collaborate on reporting with our team in China. Proficiency in a Chinese language is considered an asset to enhance communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field


• CPA designation or nearing completion is an asset


• 3-5 years of experience in Accounting and Finance; experience in technology industry is advantageous


• 3 years of tax experience is an asset


• Hands-on full cycle accounting experience is preferred


• Knowledge & experience on financial reporting and budgeting  


• Advanced Excel skills (e.g. Queries, V-lookups, Pivot Tables, Dashboards) are preferred


• Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills


• Ability to take initiative and work both independently and as part of a team


• Capable of prioritizing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines
