About the Role
We’re looking for a detail-driven Accounting Technician to join our Finance team and support the day-to-day financial operations of our organization. This role plays an important part in ensuring payroll is processed accurately and on time, invoices are managed efficiently, and financial records remain precise and compliant.
As a key link between Finance and Operations, you’ll collaborate across departments while helping keep our systems organized, accurate, and running smoothly.

What You’ll Be Responsible For:
Accounting & Finance Support
Assisting with general ledger entries, reconciliations, and month-end close
Preparing payroll, purchasing, and expense reports
Supporting budgeting and cost tracking
Providing backup support within the Finance team
Payroll
Processing weekly payroll in compliance with federal and provincial legislation
Maintaining payroll records, deductions, and benefits information
Supporting year-end activities including T4s and audits
Responding to payroll inquiries with professionalism and confidentiality
Purchasing & Accounts Payable
Creating and processing purchase orders
Matching invoices to purchase orders and packing slips
Coding and entering invoices accurately
Liaising with vendors and resolving discrepancies
Supporting payment processing and maintaining vendor records
Accounts Receivable
Preparing and issuing customer invoices
Applying payments and reconciling accounts
Monitoring aging reports and following up on overdue accounts
Working closely with Operations and Project Managers to ensure timely billing
What You Bring
Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Relevant work experience in a professional accounting environment
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
Proficiency with accounting software and business systems
Working toward a CPA designation (asset)
Construction industry knowledge (asset)
