Job Description - Accounts Payable Administrator

Job Description

Our client, known for their commitment to excellence and innovation, is seeking an Accounts Payable Administrator to join their accounting team in Dartmouth, NS on a permanent basis. Reporting to the AP Lead, the successful candidate will be a proactive and diligent professional with a motivated work ethic.

Key Responsibilities for the Job:
  • Review, match, code, and enter invoices
  • Cheque runs, EFTs, and cut physical cheques
  • Manage the AP inbox for vendor inquiries and questions
  • Vendor statement reconciliations
  • Maintain records and spreadsheets
  • Year-end support relating to AP
Skills & Attributes for Success:
  • Post-secondary education in accounting or business
  • 2 + years of accounting and/or AP experience
  • Previous experience in a contract or project-based environment is an asset
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Detail oriented with exceptional organization skills
  • Proven problem solving skills and efficiency
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
