Job Description

We are currently seeking an Accounts Payable & Receivable Lead to join our client's team in picturesque Tantallon, NS. This pivotal role involves spearheading all aspects of daily accounts payable and receivable operations within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

This permanent position is ideal for an experience professional with a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles and procedures. The ideal candidate will thrive in autonomy, seamlessly integrating into a successful small business and ready to make a tangible impact.

Key Responsibilities for the Job:

• Accounts payable
• Accounts receivable
• Progress billing
• Cheque runs & EFT management
• General ledger posting account maintenance and AP sub-ledger
• AP monthly reporting and payables tracking
• Review and verify invoice coding and system posting
• Resolve complex payment issues with vendors and internal contacts
• Review and improve policies and procedures
• Other duties as required

Skills & Attributes for Success:

• Post-secondary education in business or accounting
• 3 5+ years versatile, hands-on accounting or bookkeeping experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and QuickBooks is preferred
• Superior time management and attention to detail
• Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Self-starter with a motivated work ethic and the ability to work efficiently in an independent role
