Accounts Payable Specialist

The Role:

Third Space Properties is looking for a motivated Accounts Payable Specialist. The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of high-volume invoices across a diverse real estate portfolio. This role is an integral part of the team that is responsible for keeping good relations with external and internal stakeholders by ensuring all vendor queries are resolved and all invoices are paid in a timely fashion. Third Space Properties is utilizing Robotic Process Automation to assist with processing invoices, and this role will require an individual who is open-minded and technologically savvy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process high‑volume invoices in Yardi Voyager 7S, ensuring proper coding, approvals, and timely payment;


• Work closely with operational managers to resolve discrepancies related to invoices, purchase orders, and contracts;


• Set up and maintain vendor profiles, ensuring accurate GST, WCB, and banking information;


• Prepare bi‑monthly and off‑cycle payment runs across multiple entities;


• Reconcile vendor statements and follow up on outstanding items;


• Manage the AP shared inbox and deliver timely, professional communication to vendors and internal inquiries;


• Administer the Builder’s Lien Holdback process;


• Provide support on special projects and other duties as assigned;

Qualifications and Knowledge:

• High level of attention to detail and dedication to quality;


• Solid organizational and time management skills, with an ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple tasks while working independently;


• Excellent interpersonal skills, including a proven ability to build relationships;


• Excellent oral communication skills and ability to draft clear and concise written communication;


• Positive attitude and able to multi-task and meet deadlines within a fast-paced environment;


• Able to work well in a team environment;


• Must have strong Microsoft Excel skills;


• Minimum 3 years AP experience;


• Yardi Voyager 7S experience is an asset.

Salary Range:

Third Space provides a competitive salary and benefits package as well as many other perks and benefits. The Project Manager salary range is $55,000 - $65,000 with an annual performance bonus.  This role is eligible for health & dental benefits. The exact compensation offered will be dependent upon education & training, years of relevant experience, and internal equity.
