Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Addiction Engagement Counselor to join our dedicated team. This critical role serves as the front door to the department, handling referrals, conducting assessments, and facilitating orientations. The role includes performing 2-3 assessments/orientations daily and leading one engagement group weekly.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments and orientation sessions for members referred by Primary Care, Behavioral Health Consultants, Psychiatry, and other sources.
• Facilitate weekly engagement groups for members.
• Collaborate within an integrated healthcare team to deliver high-quality substance use disorder treatment.

Non-Negotiable Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 1 year in a substance use disorder treatment setting within the last 5 years.
• Education: Master's degree in counseling, social work, or a closely related field (M.S.W., M.S., M.A., M.Ed.).
• Licenses/Certifications:
  • Substance Use Disorder Professional Trainee Certification (WA) or Substance Use Disorder Professional License (WA).
  • National Provider Identifier (NPI).

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of post-master’s experience in substance use disorder treatment.
• Experience in integrated healthcare settings, including primary care services.
• Specialized training or experience in:
  • Adolescent substance use disorders.
  • Family therapy and trauma-informed care.
