Administrative Assistant - Operations (Reception)

One Full-Time Permanent 

 
  • Location: Aurora, Ontario L4G3S9 
    • must be within a commutable daily distance from the office and/or service area 
  • Status: Permanent, Full-Time
  • Starting Hourly Rate: $24.08 / Hour
  • Office Hours: Monday - Friday - 8:30 am - 4:30 pm, 35 Hours per week
  • Office Expectations; Full-time in office
  • Posting Closes: Tuesday, May 5 at 4:00 pm EST

Job Description


Your Support Services Network is seeking a Administrative Assistant - Operations (Reception) to serve as the first point of contact to clients and visitors. In this role, you will liaise with clients, their families, partnering agencies, suppliers and the general public, ensuring they are effectively directed to the appropriate program or staff member for support and assistance.  

The Administrative Assistant will act as a lead for purchasing and maintain office supplies, manage calendars, coordinate meetings and oversee meeting room bookings. You will manage incoming calls, faxes and both internal and external mail.

The ideal candidate brings strong administrative skills, excellent verbal and telephone communication skills, and a high level of professionalism. Key strengths include active listening, strong organizational abilities, and have a customer focused approach. 


Position Requirements

  • Grade 12 or equivalent education with training in Microsoft Office programs
  • Experience;
    • Minimum two years’ experience in a reception/administrative role
    • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
    • Experience and familiarity with data entry 
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
    • Ability to multi-task and effective organizations skills
  • Proficiency in a second language is considered an asset
  • Understanding of cultural diversity is considered an asset
*   The successful applicant will be required to provide a police clearance that meets agency standards
*   A valid G Drivers License, access to a reliable vehicle and adequate insurance coverage for business responsibilities, OR access to reliable transportation.
