Job Description - Admissions/Marketing Administrative Assistant

Compensation: $17.37/hr

The Admissions Marketing Administrative Assistant is responsible for planning, organizing and scheduling speakers, bureaus, professional education, community education and exhibits.

This is a full-time benefit eligible position working Monday-Friday. This position may require some Holidays.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS – JOB SPECIFIC

• Performs supportive services for the Director of Community Relations
• Receives visitors in supervisor’s absence, directs mail and ensures conference materials are stocked.
• Provides assistance to Community Relations Representatives as needed while completing various hospital projects as assigned
• Provides information about the hospital services to callers, making appropriate referrals.
• Develops and maintains accurate report(s) required of Admissions Director and Marketing Director
• Verifies insurance eligibility of clients
• Coordinates transport of clients, if needed
• Completes all reports and calendars needed for Marketing/Admissions
• Updates all admission forms
• Types all minutes for meetings as well as agendas for each
• Acts as a preceptor and educator to new Admission staff
• Attends 52 hours of continuing education per year
• Helps promote Quality Improvement to the Hospital
• Other duties as assigned

• High School/GED required
• Associates degree in a human service field preferred

• At least two years experience in mental health required if associate’s degree (or higher) is not obtained
• Knowledge of basic psychiatric process and the ability to deal with people in an empathetic and concerned manner preferred
