Air Conditioner Technician

SPX Sigma-Omega Corporation is a manufacturer of commercial and industrial HVAC equipment including Wallfin, Convectors, Force Flows, Cabinet Unit Heaters, Valance as well as Radiant Ceiling Heating and Cooling Products.

The Opportunity

SPX Sigma-Omega Corporation is seeking a person who has experience in the HVAC industry to join our commercial products team as a Air Conditioner Technician - HVAC Manufacturing - in a full-time position. The successful applicant should also be a responsible team-player, who is able to work individually and has strong attention to detail in performing everyday tasks.

Primary Roles & Responsibilities

• Testing, Troubleshoot A/C Units (2 Ton to 90 Ton units) on assembly line

• Experience with VFD programming and PLC Wiring


• Experienced in wiring electrical panels with the use of wiring diagram and schematics


• Experienced in all aspects of Commercial A/C Units


• Meet quality compliance requirements


• Maintain a clean and organized work environment with Safety First in mind


• Flexibility to work overtime, and Saturday.


• Perform repetitive work in a manufacturing environment, frequently required to walk, reach, bend, or lift materials weighing less than 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience working on Commercial Air Conditioning/ Rooftop Units, license not required


• Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics


• Relevant experience with VFD and PLC programming


• Must be able to lift to 50 lb.


• Must be able to work in a fast-paced production environment


• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time


• Must be able to perform duties with minimal supervision
