About the Role:

As a Lead Alimak Raise Miner at Dumas, you will oversee raise development activities and operate Alimak raise climbers to safely and efficiently complete vertical or inclined raises. This position combines hands-on operation with leadership responsibilities, ensuring adherence to safety standards and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate Alimak raise climber to drill and blast raises according to the mine plan.
• Supervise and coordinate the raise mining crew to achieve safe and productive results.
• Install ground support (bolts, mesh, screen) and maintain safe work areas.
• Conduct pre-operational inspections and routine maintenance on Alimak equipment.
• Maintain accurate drilling, blasting, and progress reports.
• Ensure compliance with Dumas and site-specific safety protocols and environmental regulations.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to meet all targets.
• Participate in workplace inspections and hazard assessments.

Qualifications:

• Underground Hard Rock Mining Common Core with Specialty Module U0020 (Operate Raise Climber) or equivalent.
• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience operating Alimak raise climbers, with proven leadership experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to train and mentor team members.
• Excellent safety record and ability to work in confined spaces.
