We are currently seeking aAllocator - Leather, Footwear and Accessories who will seek inspiration from our roots, can commit to achieving results the right way and loves to think big to join us on our journey. This role isresponsible for the allocation of merchandise and inventory management to ensure timely delivery and execution to maximize profitability for their specified category.

The Allocator - Leather, Footwear & Accessories position for Roots will be responsible for the following:

  • Working closely with the Buyers to determine the overall allocation strategy on products throughout the lifecycle including; new, replenishment and discounted merchandise
  • Maintaining store inventory levels according to merchandise performance and trends through initial allocations, replenishment and initiating consolidations and store transfers as required
  • Analyzing size performance by store level and style; including store-selling patterns, to make sound decisions on what merchandise should be replenished
  • Managing inventory to ensure an appropriate mix of merchandise is in stores to meet customer demands
  • Analyzing and reacting to individual and store grouping trends to better work through the merchandise and accurately allocate inventory

Top candidates for the Allocator - Leather, Footwear & Accessoriesrole will have the following:

  • 3+ years of merchandise allocation and merchandising experience
  • Previous experience with merchandise and planning systems
  • Intermediate to advanced level knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Team oriented with strong leadership skills and the ability to take initiative.
  • Strong analytical, organization and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrates strong listening, written and oral communication skills, effectively and clearly communicates, reflecting an appropriate sense of urgency
  • Strong independent thinking skills, with the ability to facilitate projects in a fast-paced environment
