THE OPPORTUNITY 

As an Analyst, Vendor & Contract Management at BCI, you’ll play a key role in supporting the full contract lifecycle—from drafting and negotiation through to supplier performance management. You’ll work alongside experienced team members to help develop commercial contracts, support negotiations, and ensure third-party risks are effectively managed. 

In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with both corporate and technical teams, contributing to the timely and effective delivery of products and services across a range of supply categories. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, applying analytical skills, and growing their expertise in vendor and contract management within a large, evolving organization. 

 

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH 

This role sits within the Procurement team in the Finance department, part of BCI Operations. 

Finance is responsible for investment and corporate accounting, valuations, financial reporting, budgeting, tax, finance operations, procurement, and performance analytics. The department partners closely with internal stakeholders, auditors, and external advisors to provide timely, accurate, and relevant financial insights. 

Procurement leads the sourcing, contracting, and management of third-party vendors in alignment with BCI’s values. The team is structured across strategic sourcing, vendor and contract management, and operations, and works closely with Financial Planning & Analysis and Corporate Accounting to deliver an end-to-end source-to- pay approach across BCI. 

 

WHAT YOU BRING 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field 

  • 2+ years’ experience in category management and contract management 

  • Experience with SourcetoPay processes, including contract lifecycle, category, and vendor performance management 

  • Experience or exposure to commercial negotiations for software and professional services 

  • Strong analytical, problemsolving, communication, and customerservice skills 

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint 

  • Exposure to sourcetocontract systems such as Workday Strategic Sourcing, Ariba, or Coupa 

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced environment 

  • Working toward a professional certification (e.g., SCMP) is an asset 

 

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Support supply category assessments through market research, benchmarking, surveys, and data analysis 

  • Engage with stakeholders to identify and document sourcing and contracting needs 

  • Collaborate on and execute contracting activities, including ethical and effective negotiations, as a commercial SME 

  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of vendor and contract management processes, tools, and procedures 

  • Identify risks and issues and support mitigation strategies related to sourcing and contracting activities 

  • Track and report on cost savings, cost avoidance, and other procurement outcomes 

  • Support supplier lifecycle and vendor performance management, with guidance from senior team members 

  • Prepare briefs and presentations for audiences across the organization 

  • Perform contract administration in alignment with corporate procurement policies and templates 

  • Support special projects and perform other related duties as  

 

WHERE YOU WILL WORK 

This role is based in our office in downtown Victoria, BC.  Relocation Support is available if needed. 

We are an in-person collaborative organization with the flexibility to work remotely 1-day a week.   

SALARY RANGE  

The annualized base salary range for this role is CAD $77,000 to $93,000.

BCI offers a competitive total rewards package, including a performance-based incentive plan, comprehensive health & dental benefits, a defined benefit pension plan, and paid time off. We pay our people competitively in the markets in which we operate and with consideration for internal equity and job structure. The base salary will consider factors such as the individual's skill set, experience, and internal equity. We aim for actual pay to be around the market median for expected performance and the upper quartile for excellent performance. Actual salaries may vary based on experience and expertise.
