We are looking for a highly motivated and energetic professional to join our team as an Analytical Chemist in Whitby, ON.
This is an on-site position.
Responsibilities:
Document all experimental data in compliance with ALCOA principles (Attributable, Legible, Contemporaneous, Original, and Accurate).
Independently conduct HPLC, dissolution, and physical testing analysis according to established Analytical Methods and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Demonstrate proficiency with Empower, NuGenesis, LIMS, SM, MS Word, and Excel software.
Perform basic troubleshooting to address system suitability failures.
Follow method validation protocols and conduct method validation bench work.
Support testing for Excipient Compatibility Studies (ECS).
Immediately report unexpected or Out of Specification (OOS) results to the Supervisor and assist with laboratory investigations as directed.
Maintain a safe working environment, adhere to lab 5S standards, and report potential hazards.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's /Master's Degree in Science in chemistry or a related field.
Required experience in a science-related environment.
Experience with common laboratory equipment and operation.
Awareness of quality and regulatory requirements in the pharmaceutical industry.
Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as determination of test reliability, analysis of variance, and correlation techniques.
Ability to work rotating shifts and flexible schedules as required by operational needs.
Note: Salary ranges from $28â$35 per hour, depending on experience.
