  • Lead engagement of new analytics, data, and clinical trials projects.

  • Work with OBI’s networks, especially its funded research programs to identify, shape, and enable partnership opportunities that support external adoption of OBI’s data and analytics capabilities and products.

  • Promote Centre for Analytics tools productization, analytics, computing and federated learning (FL) services.

  • Promote usage of the clinical research data from its funded research networks held in OBI’s informatics platform, Brain-CODE.

  • Contribute to business development and partnership activities, supporting access agreements, licensing structures, overall management of projects and potential revenue or co-development models.

  • Engage directly with OBI networks and potential users to understand needs, collect feedback, and identify opportunities for data-driven collaboration and impact.

  • Work closely with the Analytics Program Specialist, internal teams and data producers (e.g., OBI’s funded research programs) to promote data and services to end-users and communicate feedback and opportunities to OBI and IDP teams.

  • Lead marketing and outreach initiatives for business products, including product education, storytelling, value propositions, and promotional activities.

  • Monitor and report on project performance metrics, including uptake, user satisfaction, and impact case studies.

  • Partnership support for OBI’s analytics services, including federated learning (FL), analytics and tools validation, and other service-based offerings.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify opportunities, engage potential partners, and develop use cases that align with OBI’s data strategy and commercialization goals

Qualifications

  • 5+ years relevant experience coupled with a post-secondary degree in business, analytics or related field.

  • Proven experience developing and managing external partnerships, business development initiatives, or commercial collaborations in the health, life sciences, research, or data-intensive sectors.

  • Demonstrated ability to engage and build relationships with external stakeholders, including startups and SMEs, researchers, clinicians, government agencies, and commercial partners.

  • Strong understanding of data and analytics products, including sufficient technical literacy to translate complex data capabilities into clear partner value propositions. Strategic thinker with experience developing go-to-market plans, identifying partnership opportunities, shaping use cases, and supporting access/licensing models.

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across diverse audiences.

  • Experience working in mission-driven, non-profit, or research environments is an asset.

  • Strong business development experience in the health industry.

  • Experience collaborating with marketing and communications teams to support outreach, storytelling, and partner-facing materials.

  • Experience with CRM tools to manage partnership pipelines, track engagement, and support reporting.
